Who is the Parish Nurse?

Your Parish Nurse is Sue Hutton.  Sue has been a registered nurse for 28 years.   She is a member of Hull Community Church.

I have over 30 years of experience in nursing, much of my career spent as a practice nurse. I still work in a General Practice, and volunteer as a parish nurse.  Parish nursing gives me the opportunity to offer whole person healthcare, allowing me to combine my profession with my faith. It allows me to carry out preventative healthcare together with spiritual care, enabling me to offer prayer alongside practical help and advice.

I can offer advice on a whole range of issues such as...

Asthma                                   COPD                                                Diabetes

Heart Disease                          High Blood Pressure                            Keeping active

Weight loss                             Dietary advice                                     Alcohol

Smoking                                 Child vaccinations                                Travel vaccinations

Medication                              Sexual health                                      Contraception

Screening checks                     Mental well being                                 Dementia

Information on tests                Information on procedures                    Bereavement support

I can offer time to pray, to listen, to care ...
