Hull Lighthouse Project

Working alongside women in prostitution in the city of Hull, offering friendship, advice and opportunity for change.

A team of trained volunteers staff an evening drop-in centre and outreach workers give ongoing help during the day.

The drop-in is used by over 90% of the women who work on the streets and over 40 women have been helped out of a life of prostitution.

Holistic support covers help with drug use; hospital visits; support during pregnancy; liaising with social services; help finding suitable housing and furniture; practical help with budgeting; negotiating repayment of debts at low rates; visiting solicitors and probation; support during court appearances and in prison; practical help with retraining and education.
